Had two interviews, the first with the managing director and the second with the CEO. Each talk was around an hour. After the initial interview, I took a Harrison Assessments personality test where I had to rank statements to gauge my fit for the company and also did an editing assignment. The first interview was a pretty standard, easy behavioral interview over Skype. The second one was with the CEO on Zoom, which felt more like a chat, but some questions made me uneasy. The CEO was really digging into my previous role at a competitor, focusing more on the company's setup and operations than my actual experience. This felt off. Towards the end, the CEO asked about my salary at my last job, which is actually illegal in NY. I stumbled and gave a figure, which I think they used to offer a low salary. I got an offer in the low/mid-40s, and when I tried to negotiate, they pulled the offer on the day we were supposed to talk about it.

I went through three rounds of interviews. First was a preliminary interview with HR. The second interview was with the departmental supervisor and another business product associate. The third and final round was a one-on-one chat with the CEO. I got to ask questions at the end of each round.

I first had an interview with HR. After that, I did a personality test and was given an essay to edit. I didn't hear back for a bit, then they invited me to a second interview, but for a different role. I asked why but didn't get a clear answer, so I backed out. I thought their response was pretty unprofessional.
