I had a phone screen, then two interviews, and also a take-home design test. They didn't actually have the budget for the role they first mentioned, and although I was told an offer was being worked out, I was ghosted. Then, months later, they reached out again about a different role.

A recruiter reached out to me for an informal chat. It turned out to be more formal than I expected, so I wasn't fully prepared. She said she'd let me know about the next steps by the end of the day but never did and didn't respond to my follow-ups. I get that I might not be a fit, but the somewhat aggressive recruiting followed by ghosting and lying about the next steps was unprofessional and left a bad impression. Also, the pay seemed really low compared to the job listing, and I didn't get an offer.

I found that the company was really open about their interview process, and everyone on the team was upfront and helpful. The recruiters were great, super clear. The team itself is full of smart people who really get how important research and design are to development.
