This has been a good experience so far. The HR team has been very responsive and nice. The questions asked were normal, and they provided time for preparation in advance. However, they didn't share much information about the exact workload.

You'll need to solve math problems at a competition level, providing clear and detailed solutions. Make sure to write out your explanations and double-check for any logical errors. It's important to show enthusiasm for math and teaching, creating solutions that are interesting, smart, and easy to grasp. Also, try to get people thinking more deeply by looking at various ways to solve problems, pointing out important math ideas, and showing how to tackle them.

It was a 3-round interview process. The first was a phone call to discuss your background and some behavioral questions. The second round involved a coding exercise where you had to mock up a class. The last round was intense; it lasted a whole weekend with training, homework, and daily reports. They decided on Monday if they would hire you based on your performance during that weekend. The feedback was unhelpful, generic, and led to rejection, with a focus on why you weren't a good fit.

The interview process involves three rounds. The first is a phone call with HR for basic questions and behavioral inquiries. The second round requires a short demo lesson on a chosen problem, followed by a discussion with the teaching manager. The third round is an intensive 3-day, 20-hour online training simulation. On day one, you'll give a demo lesson, receive feedback, and revise your lesson plan, then record it and submit a daily report. Day two involves another demo lesson and a blackboard design, alongside workshops. By the end of day three, you'll present a final showcase of what you've learned. The first two rounds are generally manageable for those with teaching or tutoring experience, but the last round was quite time-consuming. I opted out midway through the final round because I didn't align with their approach to teaching math and didn't want to invest further time. Since it's a Chinese company, most of the interview was in Mandarin.
