I had a brief phone interview that lasted about 15 minutes. The interviewer went over the main job duties and asked about my background. They mentioned that the phone interview was the only part of the process. It took a few weeks to hear back, and unfortunately, they went with another candidate. My emails seeking an update weren't answered, even though I felt the interview went well.

Behavioral Technical Presentation
Started with a screening interview with HR, covering general questions, my likes/dislikes, and my knowledge of financial journalism. We also did a resume walkthrough and some behavioral questions. This lasted about 20 minutes. Then, I had a first round interview with the Deputy Editor, which was more in-depth. We discussed why I'm interested in this department, the company, and the industry. They asked more behavioral and fit questions, delved into my previous editorial experience, and had me pitch a 200-word article. We also talked about my perception of a fast-paced environment and my future plans and goals. This round was about 45 minutes long. Finally, I received an offer.

I had a really pleasant interview experience. I felt relaxed and able to admit when I didn't know something, but I showed enough passion that the hiring manager, who was a Director at the time, noticed. I got to talk with him and some of my future colleagues. A few days later, I received an offer. This role really gave me a significant dose of real-world, web-scale engineering experience, which has since inspired me to invent next-generation technology.
