The interviewer was rude and didn't seem to know who I was, even though I'd already sent my resume and recorded video answers. The role was also different than advertised, and she blamed me for applying. This was after I already submitted my resume and recorded video responses.

Since they hire remotely, they have a great system to get to know candidates. The first step was a smartly made form that made me feel valued and understood, and also helped them understand me better. I think it's an important stage that's often overlooked, and this company does it well, saving time and energy for everyone.

Behavioral Technical

The interview wasn't difficult, but the interviewer seemed disengaged. I discussed my passion for my work, highlighting portfolio examples, but the interviewer questioned if I'd sent a portfolio, which was linked on my CV. They asked about salary expectations and were hesitant to provide a range, reacting strangely when I stated my figure. I felt this was an inappropriate topic for the first round and decided not to proceed, even if I had been invited to the next stage.

Behavioral

Applied and got a quick response within a week via email, with an interview set up the following week, virtually. The interview was with the talent team, polite and friendly, but very scripted and robotic. Questions were read from a script, with no natural conversation or back-and-forth, feeling more like an interrogation. I lost interest and knew I wouldn't progress. It felt unnatural and unappealing for a first stage. The role is new and they're looking for guidance, not someone to shape the role from within. Also, not revealing compensation and benefits is odd, trying to get the most experienced for the lowest offer.

  • Would you be willing to relocate?
  • Describe a workflow you've previously established.
