First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thermofisher - PPD SA.
Senior Scientist
It was a pretty straightforward interview process for a senior role, starting with a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. Then, there was a longer 1.5-hour interview with the core team, and it wrapped up with a 30-minute conversation with the director. It felt easy overall, especially since no presentation was required.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Medical Information Associate
I first had a recorded interview, then an interview with two people from HR that lasted about 30 minutes. Afterwards, I did two English evaluations — one for speaking and one for writing — and finally, I had an interview with the Hiring Managers, which was a panel format.
- Tell us about a challenging experience you faced and how you managed to overcome it.
Program Manager
The interview process was super smooth and easy, right from the start to the end. A lot of the questions were about how you handle people and manage teams, showing they really care about good leadership. They did ask some technical stuff, but it wasn't as much as the people management questions, so it seems like leading and managing is more important for this job. They also asked a bunch about leadership and building teams, so they want to know if you can lead and work well with others. They kept me updated and told me what was next all the time, which was nice and made it feel really open.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a challenging individual and describe your approach to managing the situation?
Clinical Project Manager
The interview process could be improved. The recruiter needs to follow up and not leave any potential candidate hanging. Candidates have to ask and follow up numerous times with no update or response. Candidates should be informed in a timely manner.

- Describe your experience with challenges.
- How do you apply SMART criteria to project management?
