First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thermacell.
Human Resources Assistant
The interview process with Thermacell felt really good and positive. I spoke one-on-one with each of the three people on the People team (HR). During each chat, they were upfront about the role's responsibilities, openly discussed salary and benefits, and shared details about the company's past, its present situation, and future growth plans. Thermacell created a setting that was both relaxed and professional, making me feel super enthusiastic and like I just had to join their team!
- What do you feel your life's purpose is, and what drives you?
- Can you confirm you thrive in a fast-paced setting?
- How do you handle and organize your tasks when facing potential frequent interruptions?
Accounts Payable & Cash Manager
My interviews with Thermacell were conducted via Microsoft Teams due to Covid. I spoke with HR, the CFO, the Controller, the current AP & Cash Manager, and the CEO. Everyone was very approachable and made me feel at ease. The CEO was understanding when my kids and dogs interrupted during the interview, which I appreciated as a working mom. I researched the company beforehand and felt it was a strong match. The employees I met seemed happy and the company appears to be growing and working well as a team. I'm excited to potentially join them.
- What motivates your interest in working for Thermacell?
Human Resources Business Partner
Right after submitting my resume, I got a confirmation. Then, within a couple days, they emailed an invite for a remote chat, which was super convenient for scheduling. The in-person interviews had a good number of people, enough to understand the role and company, but not too many to make scheduling a nightmare. It was a really professional and well-run process with great communication and logistics.
- Can you share details about your background and past experiences?
- Describe instances where you've embodied the company's core values, especially those mentioned in the job description.
SVP Marketing
The process was run by a third-party recruiter and was well-organized. Everything was done remotely via video calls with many people from the company. Once it got going, things moved at a good speed. However, the company took a really long time to give me a final decision. It seemed like they were talking to a lot of people, and waiting for the final answer took way too long.
