First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Theodo.
Business Development
This was by far the most unprofessional interview experience that I have had. Simply ludicrous. The interviewer seemed to have never conducted an interview before in her life. She was nervous, unprepared, and discourteous. She would make up new job requirements on the spot! The company attitude is rather arrogant (for no good reason whatsoever, the company's reputation is rather mediocre). Save yourself the time and apply elsewhere!
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Theodo?

The process started with a qualification call, then there was supposed to be a series of team interviews. I had: - a 25 min call that was rushed, to talk about my background and what I was looking for. The person on the phone was not open to discussion and seemed dismissive. - A second call to debrief the first one. The person wanted to rehash it because they realized they handled it poorly. - A 1-hour in-person interview at the office with the same person. Same attitude. My interviewer was very disorganized and seriously lacked politeness. It doesn't really make you want to join the team, which otherwise seems nice. My phone and in-person interviews were very poorly organized (late, phone appointment not confirmed by email, lack of info on interview content). Interviewer was rude and not listening, quite awkward with few social skills. Lacks knowledge of digital jobs and perspective on their role as a recruiter.
- Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Present your background in 3 minutes flat?

The interview started with a review of my CV, followed by a sales simulation. The CV part focused on my most challenging experiences, whether they ended in success or failure. For the sales simulation, the task was to identify the client's business challenge (focusing on the core problem, not just profit), their budget, and how our company could assist. It was acceptable to suggest that our company shouldn't work with the client if the reasoning was sound. The interviewer informed me at the end that I would not advance to the next stage and provided feedback on my performance. While disappointing, it eliminated the anxiety of waiting for a decision. The feedback was valuable, and I had the chance to ask questions. It might even be possible to contest their decision. If the interview was conducted via video call, be aware that their office internet connection was unstable, causing frequent freezes and disconnections.
- Tell me about your most challenging experience.
- Can you explain your reasoning for using that specific method to solve X?
- What's your assessment of how the sales simulation unfolded?
