As a former employee wanting to rejoin with some new digital experience, I was able to get an interview quickly because the owner was willing to talk. The interview quickly shifted from my experience to my husband, an ex full stack developer here, and if he was looking for a job. After I said that wasn't an option, the owner told me about benefits and then showed me out, and I wasn't contacted again. This was disheartening because it seemed like the interview was just a way for the owner to try and get my husband back. If you want to interview my husband, call him. About the owner, I've seen his name on articles I wrote (which I can prove with Google's Wayback tool) several times. I'm told they upgraded systems and his name was put on by default, but this only seems to happen to my articles. I wouldn't trust this place. Don't expect my husband to come crawling back to you.

It's a small web design/SEO agency, they build websites manually. A designer gives the developer a PhotoShop file, and the developer uses it to make a WordPress template. The developer mostly copies and pastes an existing template. The phone screen was with a developer and a project manager who was more of a client liaison, not technical. They weren't interested in my side projects, accomplishments, or modern web tech like the WordPress API, OO PHP, JS closures, TDD, Node, Angular etc. They only cared about making WordPress templates from layer comps in an agency. They didn't follow up, so I guess I didn't get the job.

TheeDigital reached out about job openings and I was eager to interview. The interview itself was fine, and I happily showed them my work portfolio. But after that, communication was a mess. I followed up a lot for two months, calling four times and emailing, but got no real news. They always said someone would call back, but never did. On my last call, they finally emailed saying they went with someone else. I know hiring is tough, but the lack of openness and communication was really bad. Being told to 'keep in touch for future opportunities' after being ignored for weeks felt rude and unprofessional. Heads up to other candidates: your time might not be valued here. Good, quick communication should be the norm in any professional hiring process.

The interview process was quite brief, and it seemed like they had high expectations for a new graduate. Despite this, it's a fantastic company, and I believe it would be a great place to work. The interviewer focused on questions related to my application rather than general inquiries.
