The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, there was a 30-minute screening call, and then an in-person panel interview that lasted about an hour. It took about 15 days from when I applied to when I had the in-person interview. I think the screening call had a question or two, but it was very laid back.

The interview process helped me realize it was not going to be a great fit. During the first interview I was asked if I had any questions, then when I said I did, they said they had another call… I checked the time and had 11 more minutes scheduled with her. Then, they called for a second interview the next day (not sure why) and that interview was so awkward. It was obvious the hiring manager wasn’t interested from the beginning of the meeting, then they sent me the (generic) rejection email at 11:30pm on a Friday night.

The interview process was typical but they added a 1/2 hour classroom observation. What's very disappointing is that after 2 weeks, I still haven't heard anything. The director said she'd call the next week, but it's been 14 days and no call. I sent an email after a week asking if I could provide more info, but never even got a reply. I think this is unprofessional and rude, and I deserved some communication about my status. It made me realize I wouldn't want to work at a place that doesn't keep its word and doesn't prioritize follow-up. I was qualified and thought the interview went well, but I can accept not being their choice. What I can't accept is not getting a call, letter, or email about their decision. I don't trust places that don't use proper business etiquette or consider others enough to close the process. Very unimpressed.

I applied online and then got a quick call for a phone interview to talk about my skills and the role. After that, they told me I'd get an email about an in-person interview. Before the in-person, I was asked for references, which made me uncomfortable since I'm currently employed. I then drove two hours for the in-person interview, and the interviewer was late. The interview was supposed to be 1.5 hours, but I met with the first person for that long and then was asked to meet a second person. I agreed but had to quickly arrange childcare. The interviews themselves were casual and conversational, and I felt good about both interviewers. I didn't hear back for weeks, which usually means no offer, but I asked for an update anyway. It was a negative experience overall, though the interviews were straightforward, asking about my current role and what I like about being an EA.
