Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved a one-on-one behavioral interview with a current coding coach or the school's principal. We discussed my background in teaching, coding, and college studies. There wasn't a technical assessment or coding problem to solve.

Coding

John Ekins, a manager, messaged me on Indeed after my application. On Friday night, he sent an email with take-home projects and coding problems: 1. Develop a game on Scratch using a customized red block. 2. Use the pygame library to make a game with user input. 3. Solve all codingbat problems using Python. I completed these tasks within 2 days and submitted them by Sunday night. I received no response, so I sent two follow-up emails. Later, I noticed the position was removed from Indeed. It's frustrating when companies don't communicate, which is why I wouldn't recommend applying here.

It was a really relaxed interview process. They didn't ask super technical questions. Instead, it was more about assessing if candidates could be good teachers and explain coding concepts clearly. The hiring manager was the one interviewing and was very friendly.

  • Could you walk me through your programming background?
