The interview process was pretty smooth. It started with a phone screening, followed by a technical round that covered both manual and automation testing. Depending on the situation, they might give you a task for a spot check. Then there was a behavioral or HR round. If you passed that, you'd meet with your potential teammates.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

The interview process seemed straightforward, but my experience was terrible. They focused on their specific tech stack and paid little attention to my contributions or answers. The panel of three interviewers showed minimal engagement, with only one appearing interested in my background. Two of the interviewers, who were managers, need to seriously rethink their interview approach. There were no behavioral questions, and the technical questions weren't really technical either; it felt like they were looking for a very specific candidate profile. When it was my turn to ask questions, they seemed to barely listen, were defensive, and very direct. Their lack of listening skills and disinterest were obvious. I was relieved to be rejected, realizing I'd be better off with a manager who actually listens. They really need to improve their interviewing and how they represent the company, as their tech and the company itself seemed great. It was just the poor people skills from the panel that were off-putting, really turned me off The Warehouse Group.

Behavioral Technical

It was a three-round interview process. I interviewed not only with my direct manager but also with my future colleagues. They really value team feedback because it's a cross-functional role. The recruiter wasn't very communicative throughout, which I later learned was because she was leaving. Despite that, I had a pretty good experience and liked how straightforward the process was.
