First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Veloz Group.
Head of Sales
I had a few conversations with Adam where we talked about sales philosophies, how to build a sales organization, and what a 2-3 year plan would look like. Adam was pretty laid back, so it felt more like a chat than a Q&A. Then I talked with Jordan, who's in charge of product development, to make sure we were on the same page. Jordan's super smart and great to work with. I also met with Rachel and some other folks at Veloz, as they really value culture there.
- What are your thoughts on how sales teams should be compensated?
Intern
The application was pretty easy and fast. They emailed me the next day saying I was selected for an interview. I had to RSVP for either May 8th or May 12th. I also had to research three topics about the Veloz Group's business ventures and be ready to talk about two of them. Sadly, I couldn't make either date because I was finishing finals in Pittsburgh, so I didn't get to do the interview.
- Custom Tobacco, which sells custom cigars to various clients like companies, stores, event planners, and individuals, has a big sales opportunity due to its unique product. Develop a detailed proposal on the most effective ways to increase sales both online and offline. For each method, outline the advantages, disadvantages, and potential challenges. Avoid overly general suggestions like "build a salesforce" or "develop channel partnerships" as they don't account for costs like salaries, management, and IP risks associated with sharing business details and client lists. Be specific and comprehensive.
Software Engineer
So there are two phases to this. The first phase involves completing six questions covering things like string manipulation, PHP, and JavaScript, and that sort of thing. The string manipulation one was pretty basic, like a sorting problem. The second phase is a phone interview where they ask some really general questions. After that, you'll find out if you're getting the internship.

Marketing Analyst
I first spoke with the recruiter on campus. After that, I applied on the website and then I got the interview. It wasn't super hard to get. I got the offer a few days later. It's a great place to work and everyone is really nice.
- Can you tell me about your most rewarding experience during your time on campus?
