So you gotta apply first, then they'll have you write like a 1,000 word piece to even be considered. After that, there's a group "interview" thing where you find out more about the program. Then you gotta read this huge info packet, like 100+ pages. Finally, there's a trial test where you need to whip up a full book outline and write the first 5,000 words of a researched book, and you only have 3 days to do it.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • In addition to needing to write about 1,000 words for an initial interview, you'll also need to write 5,000 words of a non-fiction piece and do a full book outline.
  • Unfortunately despite being a freelance copywriter and editor for several years already, I was given this feedback on my piece about Neo-Paganism: Awkward phrasing made some of the meanings unclear.
  • Weak and repetitive sentence structures, as well as sentence fragments lent a robotic tone to the writing.

First, I wrote a sample based on their topic and got accepted. Then, they called for an online interview where they showed us a video. After that, we had to do an unpaid trial interview of 5000 words (due in a week) and complete an outline of 16 or more pages (depending on the number of chapters) due in 24 hours. It's a lot of work for an unpaid order.
