After applying, I was contacted for a phone screen which I thought went well. I was told I would hear back the following week about moving forward, but I didn't. The interviewer had mentioned the process could be delayed, so I waited another week and then followed up about my status. I received no response. After a few more weeks, I followed up again with no reply. I then noticed the job posting was reposted. I assumed I wasn't being considered but followed up again just to be sure. Still nothing. If a company takes candidates to at least the phone screen, they should at least have the courtesy to send a rejection email.

This process took months, with weeks of silence between updates. For a non-exec role, 3-4 rounds is plenty, but this was like 7 interviews plus a long assignment. So much unpaid work! If they can't hire after all that, they're unrealistic. It hints at disrespect for employees and internal chaos. Wasting staff time on hiring is bad, especially now. They probably struggle to fill roles because people won't wait that long.

The process had three rounds, with about six interviews total. It also included a written thought exercise. It was a unique process for me, but I value it more and more as I've been at Trevor. It helps you understand everyone and, given the talent here, I see how it ensures we have the most skilled people I've encountered.
