I was first contacted by a recruiter about a supervisor job. Then I met with the Operations Manager for about an hour and a half. They thought my background was better suited for a different role in another department, possibly replacing someone, and that I might work there until I could transition. After the meeting and a walkthrough, which went well, I had to complete a 2-hour online IQ and Personality test. Then, I had a second meeting with the Vice President, which was also long, and they said things were moving forward. The recruiter then asked for managerial references and reasons for leaving past jobs. After that, HR contacted me and asked if I could be flexible and start with hours from 10 to 7 as a Manager in training to learn systems and help the department before taking over a different role. I agreed, but only for a short time and asked for it in writing. I then had a third meeting with the department manager. They said the paperwork was done and this was just a formality before the offer letter and description were given, and that the deal was set. I still didn't have anything in writing or know the scope or offer. I was told I'd get everything on Monday or Tuesday from HR, followed by a background check and drug test after my Friday meeting. I hesitantly met with the department head, but the HR manager didn't show up. I tried to answer leading questions about taking on a role I was overqualified for. I was asked about my salary range and flexibility for night shifts, with the implication that it might be hard for me due to having young children. I felt like they saw me as a subordinate, when I felt the opposite was true. I was asked to jump through hoops for weeks, be flexible, and then essentially lie to secure my spot. Finally, the recruiter contacted me, upset about the wasted time and no commission, admitting the company made a mistake and felt it wouldn't be fair to bring me into a hostile environment, so they decided to work with their current staff for now. I've been ignored since then.

takes forever, you have to jump through so many hoops that the pot at the end of the rainbow is relatively empty once you get there finally so its far from worth it

It was a great experience with great people. There were a few rounds, and they communicated very well throughout. The first was a phone call, the second was a call or Zoom (though usually in person), and the final one was in person for me. Couldn't recommend it more.
