First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Ticktin Law Group.
Legal Assistant
They wanna know about your whole journey, from when you graduated up to where you are now working. They ask you made-up questions and also some math questions. You gotta give them the full scoop on all of it.
- Can you tell me about your current employment?
Intern
It was quite a different interview process than usual. It began with some brain teaser questions, maybe to see how I'd react. Then, they asked hypothetical questions to understand my personality better. Finally, they asked typical questions for law students, and I had a chance to ask them questions too.
- Could you solve some brain teasers?
- Can you do some mental math?
- What would you do in hypothetical situations?
Associate Attorney
This interview was really different from what I'm used to, kind of unconventional, which I actually liked. They seemed more interested in understanding my thinking style and personality rather than just my resume. I got the sense they were checking if I'd be a good fit for the team culture, not just if I had the right skills. They also took their time to answer all my questions, so by the time they offered me the job, I was pretty sure it was the right place for me.
- What would be your reaction if your supervisor instructed you to mislead a client?
Law Clerk
It was a strange interview. They had me do a math problem off the cuff. I felt like they were annoyed when I asked standard questions about the role, which seems odd nowadays. You can probably tell if you want the job after the interview.
- Solve this math problem mentally.
