Coordinator
The interview process was very quick and efficient, and they were really respectful of everyone's time. I liked that they kept me updated on my application status, because it's hard not to worry when you don't know what's going on.
- How have your previous jobs prepared you for this role?
Stem
I had a quick initial phone chat with a Senior Engineer about my background and what I know. After that, I went in for an onsite interview with the whole exhibit development crew, which included that same Senior Engineer and four other people. No actual technical questions came up during the interviews. They ended up offering me the job a couple of weeks later.
- Can you describe your strategy for handling a large-scale project?
- Could you share some details about side-projects you've undertaken independently from your studies?
Event Staff
I talked with the Events Director and Assistant. They asked me about my past work and my current job. They also asked if I was genuinely interested in science and technology. Then, they wanted to see if I could do the job.
- Can you share your past event experience?
- Do you have a genuine interest in science and technology?
- How can you meet the expectations and responsibilities of this position?
PR Manager
The interview process was really enjoyable and everyone was super kind. The interviewer was focused and asked good questions, checking my fit for them and their fit for me. There were some internal changes happening that might have caused them to change directions. The company seemed really cool; despite being a nonprofit, it had a very business-like structure, which makes sense given its close ties to Silicon Valley tech.
