First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Social Institute.
Graphic Designer
The interview was conducted over Zoom. The interviewer introduced herself and asked me to introduce myself. I then shared my experience as a graphic design intern at an educational program, which she found very interesting. The conversation was quite informal, and she inquired about the specific software programs I have used.
- Tell me about a challenge you've encountered as a designer.
- Describe your experience with remote graphic design work. Did you work collaboratively or more independently?
- How familiar are you with using Figma?
Intern
They gave me a quick assignment over email based on the area I was interested in (indicated on my application), and after that I had a Zoom call with an employee where I was asked relevant questions.
- Why are you interested in working with TSI?
Full Stack Engineer
This took a while, with many steps. It took over 3 weeks for all the screenings, coding tests, and then more interviews with the CEO and other leaders.
- There were three screening interviews and a coding assessment.
- There were also interviews with the CEO and other leadership members.
Customer Success Manager
I had several Zoom meetings with the CEO and COO, which was great because I could ask them anything. I also got to chat with the CTO. They were really flexible and easy to talk to.
- In what ways would you collaborate with the sales and product departments to further the company?
