First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Smart Cube.
Assistant Manager
A recruiting consultant reached out and set up an interview with Smart Cube. The interview was conducted over Skype by the manager and an Assistant Manager. We started with introductions and then they asked questions based on my resume and SAS.
- Could you explain basic SAS codes for merge, joins, and their outputs?
Senior Manager
The interview process for the Senior Manager - Advanced Analytics role was quite quick, with two technical rounds and one HR round. In the first round, HR had booked multiple interviews with the same person, and I had to wait for 30 minutes before another panelist took the interview. Initially, they stated they were hiring me for a Senior Manager position, but during the offer rollout, the head HR mentioned the position was Manager. The HR was unwilling to share any details about yearly hikes, not even an average range or ballpark figure. They communicated one thing initially and then duped me in the end. Overall, a very negative experience, don't consider this organization.
- A basic Python question was asked, along with a case study.
- Tell me about a case study.
Assistant Manager
It was a good interview process with relevant questions. The discussions were logical, and nobody was showing off. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience. Even though this was from 2017, the office environment was very open and nice, and the people seemed friendly.
- Can you describe a technical, logical, and business scenario-based question you were asked?
