You will meet with the director and all managers in a two part interview process. First with the manager and the two managers. Turnover was about a week. Pretty simple and they make the environment welcoming. You also gain the opportunity to view the beautiful campus.

So I had four interviews. First was a phone screen with the head of school and the head of HR. Then I had a half-day where I met with five different committees: the board, students, parents, team leaders, and the head of school again. After that, I did a face-to-face meeting with the head of school. And the very last interview was a phone call with one of the board members. This whole thing took a few weeks, but I got the job!

I sent my resume straight to the HR director. It helps if you know someone at the school because they get tons of applications when there are no open jobs. My advice is to volunteer or take a tour to meet people. My resume was accepted and a secretary called me to set up a phone interview with the HR director. Then, I had a panel interview with a curriculum specialist, a principal (or VP?), and the HR director. After that round, I had to teach a sample lesson. The same panel observed me at my school. The whole process felt long and excessive. I got an offer, but I turned it down.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and then had a phone interview with the HR manager where we talked about my views on teaching philosophy and how I manage a classroom. A few days later, I was called back for an in-person interview with the school principal and an instructional coach. They asked me a series of questions about my teaching methods, classroom experiences, and professional goals. After the Q&A, we had a more casual conversation, and they made me feel really comfortable.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • I think the most difficult question I was asked was if I have ever had difficulty working on a team.
