Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Riverside Company.
Intern
It was pretty much just behavioral stuff and questions about my past experience. They asked me to explain my interest in private equity generally and then specifically about their micro cap fund. It was pretty easy and no curveballs.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced a significant challenge and how you managed to overcome it?
Analyst Intern
Had about 3 rounds of interviews. The first was a general case interview with no number crunching. The rest were mostly behavioral with some basic finance stuff like how to calculate NPV and what the three financial statements are.
- Can you name the three financial statements?
- How would you calculate Net Present Value (NPV)?
Intern
It was an easy interview, no technical questions really. They asked me why I was interested in Private Equity and why I would be a good fit at Riverside. I had two rounds and the last question was a brain teaser.
- Estimate the number of barbershops in the US.
