First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Real Yellow Pages.
Sales Coordinator
It was an efficient and straightforward in-person interview with 4 people. Great culture and perks, with talented colleagues. They mentioned finding and creating your own book of business. Some tough questions were asked. I decided not to join due to the commute.
- Could you share an instance where you successfully resolved an issue?
Digital Marketing Specialist
The interview process was lengthy and conducted by a group of established managers. There seemed to be a lack of communication between them. A new VP was brought in who was actively trying to reshape the company and establish a specific culture. However, many of the existing employees and territory managers were resistant to these changes. Several promises made during the interview phase did not materialize. My intentions were clear, driven by my own professional needs.
- Are you open to performing a minimum of 60 cold calls daily?
Graphic Designer
So I had this quick phone chat with HR first. Then, a couple days later, they sent an email asking me to do a skill test whenever I'm free. I felt pretty good about the skill test and gave it my best shot; it lasted about an hour. A few days after that, I found out I had a final interview with two of the managers. It was super direct and to the point. Honestly, the whole thing was really fast and it worked out well.
- Can you tell me about a challenging situation you encountered in a previous role?
Copywriter
I did an online application that was pretty long, asking for writing samples and an aptitude test. I didn't finish it right away but came back a week later and surprisingly still got a call. The first interview involved another writing test for 30 minutes, then about 45 minutes of questions from two managers. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I didn't. I reached out mid-next week, and they asked me to come in to shadow someone. I did, shadowing two people. The second one was really discouraging, complaining the whole time about the job. Before I left, I had a bit more questioning and gave my references. Again, they promised to update me by the end of the week, but I never heard back even after I contacted them a second time. I'm not sure why they ghosted me, especially since the same job popped up again. I think my facial piercings might have been an issue, even though they said it was fine. My enthusiasm also probably dropped as the process dragged on. They promised updates multiple times and never delivered, which makes me glad I didn't end up working for them given their disorganization.
