First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Post and Courier.
Marketing
Pretty easy. You walk through an open office space to get to a private room where you'll meet people. The staff is nice and straightforward. There were a lot of questions. They often hire people with less experience.
- Do you have experience with meta ads?
Email Marketing Specialist
It was an easy interview process, but it had several rounds. I didn't continue to the third round because I had already accepted another job. First, I talked to HR/Recruiter, and then I interviewed with the person who managed their email marketing overall.
- What is your knowledge of Mailchimp and coding systems?
Editorial Writer
I had a bunch of interviews, both in person and online. I also attended some team meetings and did a writing test. The team seemed nice, but they didn't seem to care about my salary needs and made me feel bad for asking for what I need to live on. Plus, they used my work without asking and didn't pay me for it.
- Would you be okay with writing for an audience that leans right?
Social Media Specialist
I had a phone interview where they asked me about myself and my capabilities. It was pretty standard stuff like where I've worked, what my responsibilities were, and what a typical day looked like. I thought it went well until we discussed the compensation.
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- Can you describe your responsibilities in previous roles?
- What was your typical day like in your previous positions?
