The interview process was online, quick, and efficient. They communicated well throughout. Their interview system is easy to use. There was also an in-person interview to check out the facility and see if it was a good fit.

I applied online and then had a video interview with seven questions, kind of like what others have mentioned. After that, I went to an in-person interview in Sunnyvale, CA back in December 2018. It involved a 20-minute workout and then some chat with the location manager. The team there is really nice, but honestly, the pay is minimum wage, which is super low for Santa Clara County. If you can live on $11/hr with no paid time off, then maybe it's okay, but otherwise, you might want to pass on The Perfect Workout.

The first interview is a "Hiring Seminar" where The Perfect Workout explains the company and the exercise training. After learning the job details, there's an optional 3-4 minute interview for the hiring team to get to know you. The second interview is the workout itself, a 20-minute "SuperSlow" Strength Training session. Then comes the third interview, usually with the Regional Manager, which includes a background check. If you pass that, you'll have a fourth interview with a Facility Manager. If you get through this, you start the paid certification process.

I went to a hiring seminar and had a quick 2-min screening. Then I had two more interviews, one with the facility manager and one with the regional manager. They didn't seem to care about prior personal training experience, but they really wanted to find people who were dedicated to fitness, willing to put in the effort to learn, and could easily connect with clients.
