First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The National Trust.
Project Manager
It was a two-person panel interview via Teams/Zoom. One interviewer was very friendly, the other was more neutral. They aimed to make it a comfortable experience. There wasn't much small talk or easy opening questions; they got straight into competency-based questions within about 3-4 minutes. It felt challenging, but honestly, that might have been because the role was a bit ambitious for my current experience; others might have found it less so.
- Can you tell us what you know about the National Trust?
- Describe a situation where you had to manage a project's scope.
- Can you share an experience of managing a large project using data?
Project Manager Apprentice
Applied and then a few weeks later had a response, to then arrange the interview. Excellent and lovely people. Friendly and answered my questioned fully. Made me feel at ease.
- What sparked your interest in this apprenticeship opportunity?
Project Manager
Had a panel of 2 people online, some questions seemed off-topic and more suited for a junior role, not really technical, just focused on email management.
- How would you handle a situation where an individual is struggling to manage their incoming emails?
