Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Moran Group.
Marketing Account Manager
I had a Zoom interview for around 30 minutes. It was pretty standard, with typical questions, especially if you've worked in an agency before. Afterward, I sent a thank-you note and followed up again to ask for feedback, but never heard back. I know hiring can be hectic, but it's tough when you don't get any response after putting in effort. It's a reminder that candidates are people, and a simple reply shows respect.
- Can you describe the kinds of accounts you've managed in your present position?
Digital Media Strategist
The interview process was quick and easy, involving about two rounds. They don't make candidates wait around. It seems they are looking for individuals with previous experience in this field. Be ready to ask them some questions.
- Have you worked for an agency before?
SEM Coordinator
The whole interview thing took about 3 weeks. There were 3 interviews total: one with the hiring manager, another with a team member, and a final one with the person in charge of the Digital Marketing Team. I didn't get past the second interview, but it was a pretty good experience overall!
- What are non-writing uses for a pencil?
- Can you introduce yourself and share what you know about Moran?
- How do you stay updated on digital marketing trends?
Search Engine Marketing Analyst
I found a job posting online and applied, but didn't hear back. So, I reached out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn. She let me know the role I applied for was filled, but there was another one that might be a good fit. We scheduled a first interview at their office, which was pretty laid-back. It was mainly a chance to learn about the company and talk about my background. About a week later, the hiring manager contacted me again, and we set up a second interview with two other team members. This one was more focused on behavioral questions and technical aspects related to the job.
- Can you think of any uses for a pencil besides writing?
