They first asked me to show my original certificate and passport. Then they asked me to give a self-introduction. After that, they asked questions from our subject area. Then they asked questions related to classroom management. Finally, they gave me a topic for a demo.

So, first, the MOE Maldives had a written test. It was in all the big cities in India, but on different dates. After that, if you passed, they interviewed you. The interview was with a group of people from the MOE, and it was done over Skype.

Interviews are conducted in India by agents, and you'll need to pay them a commission. The interview itself is pretty chill, but they don't give much info about what it's like to work on the islands, and they don't mention if students are aggressive towards foreign teachers.
