First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Mike Ferry Organization.
Events Manager
I submitted my application online over the weekend, and a recruiter contacted me on Monday for an initial phone conversation. The following day, Tuesday, I came in for an in-person meeting with HR. Later that week, on Friday, I had an extensive and engaging professional interview with someone named Sabrina. By the end of Friday, I received a job offer over the phone.
- What's your industry experience and tenure?
- What relevant experience do you bring?
- Can you discuss your contract knowledge?
Marketing Assistant
A company consultant and an executive assistant interviewed me. They didn't ask many questions, mostly just discussing what they need. It seemed like the interviewers were emphasizing that there's no overtime allowed, and this was only clarified after I started.
- How are your organization skills?
Sales Representative
There was only 1 interview and the job was immediately offered minutes after the interview. They asked all the basic series of questions about prior experience. They recruit you for coaching sales but only let you start with selling tickets, where you can't really sell anything with a washed up old database. Only 2 sales guys make any money there, who have been there for 9+ years. They advertise $100K salary, but nobody is making more than $40K other than the two guys. One of the two main sales guys used to be the manager there, so he has a set system and database along with a personal relationship with the owner. This company has fraudulent practices and horrible ethics!
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a customer issue and describe how you resolved it?
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with The Mike Ferry Organization?
Manager
I submitted my resume online and then got a call for a screening where they asked some basic questions. After that, they scheduled me for an in-person interview. When I got there, I had to fill out some paperwork at the front desk before I had two in-person interviews.
- How do you manage interactions with various personality types?
- Describe your approach to managing stressful situations.
- Is travel a possibility for this role?
