Project Manager
I went through three interviews for this position: a recruiter call, then an in-depth interview with a couple of potential team members, and a final interview with a team lead. The final interview was supposed to involve discussing a brief I had to prepare, but the brief was never brought up. Only one of the two interviewers showed up and seemed unprepared. After the interview, I followed up a few times and finally heard back from the recruiter that the position had been filled. There seems to be disorganization within the company, but I guess I dodged a bullet.
- Do you have any budget forecasting experience?
Content Strategist
The initial phone screening and remote interviews with the Sydney TMP team went well, and I had constructive conversations learning more about the team, role, and opportunity. The final assessment interview required on-the-spot problem solving for client briefs, which presented interesting challenges, followed by short discussions with the wider team to assess office culture fit. However, after my final assessment interview, it took four weeks of 'we'll get back to you' follow-up emails to even get a decision - after which the team had decided on another candidate for a seemingly arbitrary reason. The delay in getting back to me with a decision made for a frustrating interview experience.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
Designer
I applied online after seeing the ad on LinkedIn. After I applied, I received an email with a short questionnaire. Then, I had a call with the Talent Acquisition Manager. This call led me to the second stage, where I interviewed with a Creative Director and another designer. There were supposed to be two more steps, but I was lucky enough to get a job offer after just the second interview. (Because of the pandemic, all interviews were done remotely).
- Could you tell me about the most challenging project in your portfolio and explain why?
- What is your favorite TV show?
- Which Adobe software do you prefer?
Strategy Manager
It was a 3 stage process. First, an initial telephone call. Second, a video conference with the hiring manager. Third, a presentation based on a pre-determined scenario to the hiring manager, a team member, and two final stage interviewers who were HR. However, the interviewers changed at the last moment. No HR was present. A Director unexpectedly joined the panel, and a member of the sales team replaced a strategy team member. At the end of the interview, I was asked if I would consider ad hoc project work, even though I had applied for a full-time role.
- How would you integrate an ABM strategy for a tech company into a major pharmaceutical firm?
