I applied online and got a call the next day to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was scheduled for the following day and the interviewer called right on time. The next day I came in for an interview, and then the day after that (Friday) for a second interview where I had to observe. Over the weekend, I got a TB test and a physical, and I started working on Monday. I was really pleased with how quickly everything moved.

I talked with the executive director who asked me general interview questions and questions about my resume. She had me write out answers to about eight questions in paragraph form. People came in and out of the room a couple times during our conversation.

It was a pretty straightforward interview. If you have relevant experience and good references, you'll be invited back for a working interview. This is a chance to interact with the kids and get a feel for how the school operates. Be sure to brush up on the National Association for the Education of Young Children standards, as all Malvern Schools adhere to them, and accredited schools have been around for a while.

First, there was a basic phone interview to learn about the company and the position. Then, I was asked to set up a more in-depth interview. After that interview, I had to send a list of my references and their contact info. That was it, never heard back. The Malvern School's communication is really bad.

  • Can you tell me how many years of childcare experience you have?
