Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Little Nell.
Food Runner
The interview was conducted over the phone because I am located in a foreign country, but it was pleasant and professional. The whole process took under 30 minutes, not including the time to schedule the interview.
- Can you tell me about your experience with food and wine?
Housekeeping Supervisor
I first spoke with an agent from Placement International over the phone. They told me about the job offer and some perks of working at The Little Nell, and also explained the hiring process. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the recruiter from The Little Nell. She was really nice and asked why I wanted to work there and about my background. Both chats were in English.
- What motivates your desire to work in the United States, and particularly at this hotel?
- Could you specify your primary area of experience?
Food and Beverage Supervisor
I first met with an HR rep at a university career fair. Then, I had two interviews with HR and the F&B manager. I didn't get offered the supervisor position because I didn't have enough experience, but they did offer me a lower-level job.
- How would you describe your leadership style?
Host
very easy! they were very responsive and kind. It did take a little time to hear from human resources but it was easy after that. I was happy with it
- What is your experience and what skills do you have?
