Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Ledger Law Firm.
Paralegal
I was invited to a meet and greet session. There was a time frame in which I could join, and they mentioned that there might be a wait if others were already meeting with them. When it was my turn, another candidate was also present. They could barely give me 10 minutes of their time individually. It seemed like they didn't value us as candidates or our time to assess if we were a good fit. The two of us applying were asked basic questions already covered in the application. It felt like they wanted to see us on camera and hear our voices to filter us out.
- Can you tell me about your experience with the specific area of law we specialize in?
Legal Assistant
It was a short group interview via Zoom with about 8 to 10 participants. Questions were asked in the order people joined the meeting. The whole interview was in English and very brief, with only 3 questions asked.
- Where are you from? What's your English level, and is it certified?
- Can you briefly tell us about your last job?
- Where are you from? What is your English level, and do you have a certification for it?
Legal Assistant
You get called for a zoom interview to see how you speak English and then, if you pass, you move on to the next step. They simply ask if you have worked in a US firm and if you have experience in the area.
- Where do you live and what have you worked in?
- Have you worked in a US firm and do you have experience in the area?
