First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Law Offices of Daniel Kim.
Liens Negotiator
The process was pretty easy, straightforward, and quick. Lynette reached out to do a first interview where she explained the potential role and what was expected. Then I was invited to the in-person interview where I met with her and other members of the firm. I felt welcomed by everyone and got to explain my background and what I had to offer and what the firm had to offer for me. The process was rather smooth and felt like it was the right place to be.
- How many cases do you handle?
Legal Assistant
I had to wait in the meeting room for some time. They conducted interviews in both English and Korean. The first part was with the attorney in English, followed by a session with the case manager in Korean. They reviewed my resume and asked about my past experience.
- What is your long-term commitment to this role?
- Could you explain any employment gaps on your resume?
Human Resources
The hiring journey began with a recruiter screen via a third-party agency, Team360. This initial recruiter seemed unprepared and couldn't offer details beyond the job description. Following that, I spoke with an internal recruiter who was unaware of the third-party agency's involvement, which made me question the legitimacy of the job posting. There appeared to be a significant disconnect between the internal and external recruitment teams. The salary was miscommunicated from the first interview, and the offered compensation was less than what was advertised. Several more interviews took place, but it was unclear who was managing the process due to conflicting communications from Team360 and internal staff regarding interview scheduling. The entire experience felt disjointed and lacked organization. My initial assessment of the interview process suggested the company is in its nascent startup phase with an unsophisticated hiring structure. It was neither seamless nor transparent, raising concerns about the company's HR operations and diminishing my confidence to proceed.
- Can you explain how your experience aligns with the requirements of this role?
Legal Assistant
The interview process was pretty standard. After I applied and sent in my resume, I got an email a few days later asking me to come in for an interview. The first step was an interview with the recruiter.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- What would you consider your main strengths?
