First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Kasper Group.
Assistant
It was a pretty easy interview. I met with the hiring manager and learned about the company and brands. I showed my portfolio and got feedback. You should be prepared and do some research.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Print Assistant
The interview was nice but the interviewer seemed disconnected from the position, like they didn't know much about the department. It was hard to get information about the actual position.
- Are you interested in fashion?
Key Account Executive
The interview started off a bit strangely with the interviewer asking for a physical copy of my resume, even though she already had one. When I showed her on my iPad, she revealed she had a paper copy the whole time and then spent an unnecessarily long time looking at it, like she was seeing it for the first time. It felt like a manipulative tactic to intimidate me. When I asked about the 30-60 day probationary goals, she said I would be working exclusively and daily with her, which makes me think there will be a lot of micromanagement, something I'm beyond at this stage of my career. When I asked for a brief description of the team dynamics, her response was just "no complaints." This wasn't a helpful answer and felt like she was avoiding giving an objective description in favor of her personal opinion.
- Could you tell me what the goals are for the first 30-60 days on probation?
- In a few words, how would you describe the team dynamics?
Textile Assistant
They looked over my portfolio and we chatted about my background in fashion. They gave me the rundown on the position and asked if it was something I'd be interested in. They also talked about the specific brand I'd be working with. We covered my college experience and any classes or programs I knew. Overall, the interview process wasn't too bad.
- Can you explain the distinction between woven and knit fabrics?
