I met with who would be my current boss and the vp of e-commerce. They had both been there 10+ years. Very friendly and easy to talk to. The vp had just come back from living in Rome for the past 5 years so I tried to connect with her on that. It's really important to try and connect on things you have in common with your interviewers. Definitely makes me feel more comfortable when on any interview. Since it was my first interview for a job in the fashion industry I was unsure of what to wear, but ended up going with a black suit and colorful shirt. Also, they asked me a lot of questions about the brand's website and things that I thought could be improved on, so I was really glad I studied up!

I had a quick call with HR, then soon after got scheduled with the Hiring Manager. Getting to her office was a bit tricky since she wasn't on the directory, but someone helped me find her. She didn't have my resume handy, although she said she'd seen it before, and seemed a bit unsure about my background. Then came an Excel test, which is fine, but it was on the 2003 version, not the 2010 version I'm best at. It took forever and was pretty embarrassing. I mentioned I wasn't used to that version, and she said, 'Yeah, I know it's different, but don't worry, we all use 2010 for work... seriously?? Suggestion: use the version you actually use for your business for the test! The job seemed interesting, but I doubt I'll get an offer.

First, you'll chat with HR over the phone, then you'll meet with them in person. Right after that, you'll meet the manager you'd be reporting to. The HR chat is basically a quick check to filter out candidates who aren't a good fit and would just be wasting everyone's time with generic questions, as they don't really grasp the specifics of the role. The manager interview is a bit tougher, but honestly, it was one of the easiest interviews I've experienced.

The interview process was very smooth and organized. They had specific criteria each applicant must meet as well as a well-defined job description and what to expect. The interview process was very quick once everything was submitted, but the posting was on the website for a while.
