I recently interviewed for the Process Engineer role at JM Smucker. The process was transparent and well-structured, with three main stages. First, there was an HR phone screen. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring managers where we focused on my technical and problem-solving skills. The final stage was a plant visit. During the visit, I met and interviewed with five team members, toured the facility, and got a good look at their operations and culture. Communication was great throughout the process, and it felt very thorough and engaging. I'd definitely recommend JM Smucker if you're looking for a well-organized interview experience.

I submitted my resume at a career fair and then applied online. I got a call from the HR manager for a 20-minute phone interview. A few days later, I was invited for an in-person interview at the plant. The HR manager and Operations Manager were a bit late to my interview because of the previous candidate. The HR manager asked standard behavioral questions, but seemed uninterested. Then I interviewed with the Operations Manager, which was more technical, and I presented my course lab work. I felt good about my chances for the internship. I was told to expect a response on Monday, but I never heard back. After a couple weeks, I followed up via email and phone, but got no response or even a rejection. My application status eventually updated to "no longer under consideration" a couple months later. The interview was decent and good experience, but the lack of communication was frustrating.

The company was great to interview with. The process was super smooth. I interviewed with a really smart and talented team. They sent the schedule, including times, location, and who I would meet, way in advance.
