First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The J.M. Smucker Co..
National Account Manager
It was a 2 round process. First a screening with HR, then I met with 3 cross functional employees. The total time was no more than 2 hours. It was pretty straight forward. Thank you very very much!
- Tell me about a time you had a sales meeting.
Account Manager
First I talked to HR. Then I had an hour-long call with the hiring manager. The call was pretty detailed and in-depth, focusing on my past work experiences and how I could contribute to the company.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a challenging problem?
National Account Manager
Smuckers really impressed me with their interview process. It was super formal and they really took the time to get to know us. I also liked that they got back to me quickly about moving forward, which is awesome after dealing with so many companies that don't seem to care about applicants. The questions were the toughest I've faced, honestly. They dig deep into everything you say to get the real info. You can't just wing it with them, which I usually do okay with, but it really threw me off my game this time.
- They asked the usual 'What would you improve about yourself?' question, but then surprised me by asking for a second improvement.
- What's another area you would work on improving?
