SEO/SEM Specialist
So, I had an initial chat with HR, and then a second interview with the Director of Marketing Technology & Operations. The whole thing was pretty quick and professional, but honestly, I thought the HR part could have been a bit more on point. They didn't really dive deep into the core responsibilities or what they were really looking for, which meant the second interview was for a role that, in the end, wasn't quite right for me. A better upfront screening would've saved us both some time, you know?
- Could you share your background in PPC (pay-per-click) advertising?
Podcast Host
The interview process started with an online video call, then I had two in-person interviews. One of the in-person interviews involved doing a mock radio show with a host who's been around for a while. I also met the CEO during the in-person part. After that, I had a virtual meeting with HR to wrap things up. The in-person interviews were really chill and the whole crew made me feel super welcome. The whole thing took a few weeks and they kept me updated the whole way.
- On a scale from 1 to 10, how positive are you?
Radio Producer
I had three interviews. The first was a virtual chat with Noemi, who was really nice and welcoming, making me feel relaxed as we talked about my experience and what I could bring to Impact. We really clicked and had a great conversation. Then, I had another virtual interview with the hiring manager, Kevin. Again, Kevin and I connected immediately, and I felt comfortable right away. It felt more like a chat than an interview, which is great. My last interview was with Kevin and the rest of the media leadership team. Kevin showed me around the office, and I got to meet everyone. Afterward, we sat down to talk about the role and any questions I had about the position. Finally, I met the CEO, Stephen, and we discussed what he's looking for and the company culture at Impact. Every part of the interview process was a positive experience.
- Can you describe the kind of teammate you are and how effectively you collaborate with others?
Case Analyst
The interviews were really spread out with terrible communication from the hiring team after each one. I technically had two interviews: one with HR, and then they invited me to the office for three separate interviews with different people, which was unexpected. They mostly asked the same standard questions, and it felt more like a personality test to see if I'd fit into their 'bubble' rather than assessing skills. The office culture seems pretty unique, so I'm actually glad I didn't get the offer.
- What would you do for work if you could do anything, irrespective of salary or your current skills?
