It was pretty straightforward. I had a nice conversation with the hiring manager when I first started. They were knowledgeable about the company's history and made the interview feel relaxed. I got an offer right away.

I spoke with the Talent Acquisition person. She was the best and most informative recruiter I've ever spoken with. She knew a lot about Honey Baked Ham's operations, successes, goals, and growth opportunities. She had me ask the questions, and even though I had prepared general and detailed questions, she had answers for all of them, even for areas that were still a bit undefined. She also spoke passionately about the company's history and future. Unfortunately, our salary expectations were too far apart, but she really sold me on the company. I hope to find a way to work with them in the future.

I saw a job posting online for seasonal work at Honey Baked Ham and gave them a call. About a week later, they called me back for a phone interview where they explained the job and the seasonal hours. Then, we set up a 1:1 meeting. For that interview, they asked about my knowledge of the company and my past work experience. Specifically, they wanted examples from my last job that demonstrated retail skills and experience in getting customers' contact info (email/phone). They also asked what my past bosses would say about me, focusing on my scheduling, flexibility, and reliability. Like 'What hours can I work?' and 'Do I have a car?'. The store seemed pretty chill and not too busy, so good communication should be easy. If you can show you have people skills, they'll offer you the job right then and there.

I went through 3 interviews total. First was a quick 20-30 min preliminary one with basic questions. Then a FaceTime interview with the Regional Manager, which went well. He said he'd talk to his boss and I'd have a third phone interview. That call was 30-40 mins. They said they'd let me know in a few days if I got the job. No one contacted me after the third interview. It's unprofessional and disrespectful to have someone fill out applications, do 3 interviews over 2 weeks, and then not get an answer. I wouldn't recommend applying here since they make you do a lot and then leave you hanging.
