Speech Language Pathologist
It was a straightforward phone interview. Communication was honest and open. I really liked how friendly the staff were. The whole process was fast and smooth, and I learned a lot. I spoke with both the manager and an HR person.
- What are your friends' impressions of you
Therapist
I applied over a month ago and a recruiter got in touch for a phone interview. They had actually rejected me at first. I did a quick phone screen with a recruiter, then an hour-long interview with the hiring manager. Right after that, they asked for references. I gave them 4 references and they all filled out a review form. I also submitted info for a background check, and then I heard nothing back. I followed up but got no reply – pretty much ghosted.

Human Resources Coordinator
I applied online and a recruiter called me the same day for a phone screen. The process was super fast and I got invited to interview with two hiring managers a few days later. They were cool about scheduling, which is nice when you're working. The interview with the hiring managers lasted about an hour, they really dug into what I did in my last job. Everyone at the nonprofit seems really genuine and nice. It seems like a role where you'd have to do more than your job description, but honestly, for the amount of work and the company size, it felt really underpaid. The questions were standard, nothing too wild. I did get the vibe they're cautious and want someone with a similar background, who's done the same kind of work for a while. For an entry-level gig, it felt like a lot and not very flexible, especially since I already had a good chunk of work experience. I felt good about the interview and my background, but it just didn't feel like the right place for me or a good next step in my career.
- What makes you want to work for The Help Group?
- In what areas are you looking to improve yourself?
- What skills do you possess that make you a good fit for this position?
Instructional Assistant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and everyone was friendly. The application itself, if you get the job, is quite lengthy, but HR is super helpful if you have any questions or need clarification on anything. The paperwork does involve a good bit of reading.
- Would you be comfortable with changing diapers?
