Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The HEINEKEN Company.
Manager
The hiring process was too long and lacked clear communication. Given it's a large, market-leading company, I expected a more organized and human approach from HR. I got the invite for the first interview after about a month, and the second stage only a month later. During this time, they only responded to my messages when I advanced to the next stage. After four months, including interviews and a case presentation, I received no feedback, not even a rejection, despite sending messages. This lack of feedback is frustrating and contradicts the company's stated values. Hiring processes are also employer branding experiences, and communicating well with candidates is part of their commitment to people.
- Can you describe your career journey and explain how you would be a good fit for this role?
Management Trainee
first, there was an online assessment, then a panel interview with 3 people on the panel. after that, there was an assessment day which included three 1-to-1 interviews, a factory tour and a beer tapping session at the end.
- What are your motivations for joining this program?
Business Manager
It was a smooth process and they are truly a people-focused organization. Everyone was easy to work with and acted as ambassadors for the brand. I declined the offer because I had a conflicting offer from another company, but the process was great from a candidate's perspective.
