The Hatch Agency Interview Questions
& Process

So, I didn't formally apply. I just emailed their contact page. Then, there was a behavioral call that lasted about 30 minutes. After that, a writing test took about 60 minutes. Finally, there was a 2-hour-long final interview. The whole process was quite long, but they kept me updated the whole time.

This was the first phone chat I had, and they mentioned it was more like a networking conversation rather than for hiring right away. At the end, they advised me to reach out again when I'm closer to graduating.

The whole process took about 2 months, though it might have been quicker if I hadn't had some personal delays. It started with a phone screen, then I did a 1-hour writing test, and finally a panel interview where I met with 3 different groups of 2 people for 1.5 hours. They mentioned they'd get back to me after the weekend following my group interview, but I never heard from them, even after I followed up via email. It's worth mentioning that there seems to be a diversity issue at Hatch, as others have pointed out. I didn't speak with any people of color during the entire process, and as a person of color myself, I felt this might have impacted my interview experience negatively.

I reached out to their HR via email and heard back fairly quickly. They set up a phone interview which was pretty basic, mostly about me and my past experiences. After that, I had an in-office interview which consisted of three separate interviews, each with two team members. These were more in-depth and tougher. They asked about my previous experience, my interest in Hatch and PR, what news I read, and which clients I found interesting. The whole process was quite fast and everyone was very friendly.
