First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The GW Medical Faculty Associates.
Program Coordinator
I applied through an online portal. I had three interviews with different faculty members. They were trying to figure out what kind of candidate I am. The process felt a bit disorganized and they were really slow to respond, or sometimes unresponsive.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences as listed on your resume?
- What would you consider to be your greatest strengths?
- Could you share what you perceive as your weaknesses?
Patient Service Representative
I applied online and the entire process took about three weeks. I got a call from the office inviting me for an interview. The interview was conducted by the office manager and one HR person. I also had a chance to meet the office staff. The whole thing lasted for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a difficult situation and how you handled it?
- What makes you want to work here?
- If your former supervisor were to give you feedback on areas for improvement, what would they say?
Helpdesk Analyst
I was brought into the Director of IT's office and interviewed by 3 people: the Director of IT, the Network Team Manager, and the Helpdesk Manager. The questions got harder as I answered them correctly. It started with low-level helpdesk and basic troubleshooting, then moved to customer service questions. After I handled those, they asked higher technical questions about networking and servers.
- How would you configure a static IP address on a computer?
- Basic Low Level IT questions
- Higher level questions, including server and network topics
Medical Assistant
I was working with a Quadrant recruiter, Dena Yusif, my resume was submitted for review and I came in for an interview. Based on how things went, I was either asked to stay and fill in for a medical assistant taking leave at one of the GW Medical Faculty Associate offices.
- The interview process was not much different from my past experiences.
