I had a phone interview, then two more in-person interviews at the store, and one of those was a 1.5-hour drive away, which was a real hassle. They sent me a hiring packet, said 'welcome aboard!', and asked for a start date. Then, I got an email saying they chose another candidate and thanked me for my interest. I replied pointing out their incompetence and the cumbersome hiring process. They also gave me the standard 'we'll keep you in mind if something else comes up' line. I told them to get rid of my file and that I'd never do business with them again. The negative employee reviews are accurate. I guess I dodged a bullet.

So, after they check out your application, a recruiter or maybe the store manager will give you a quick call. They'll just chat about your work background and school, when you can work, and if you're interested in the job. They'll also see if you get what The Good Feet Store is all about. If that goes well, you'll have a more detailed interview, either in person or online. The store manager and some other folks from the team might be there. You'll probably get asked about times you dealt with tough customers, maybe do some role-playing for sales and customer stuff, talk about the products and how you like helping people, and discuss teamwork, what drives you, and your future plans. Then, depending on where you are, you might have to do a quick skills test or show how you talk to customers. This could be like pretending to help a customer, explaining why arch supports are good, or just showing off your sales and talking skills. Lastly, the top people might want to chat with you one more time. This is your chance to ask about how things work there, pay, and moving up. If they like you, they'll offer you the job, and you'll get all the info on pay, benefits, and training.

I hate to be petty, but I'm disappointed with my interview experience at Easy Step Enterprises (dba Good Feet Store). All previous interviews went well, and I was invited for a final interview. I sent my availability the same day they asked, and then I was ghosted. I would have expected better from a franchisee, like respecting my time and being transparent if they chose another candidate before asking for my final interview availability. It was a complete waste of my time, but I'm glad I won't be working for someone who has established an unprofessional and inconsiderate culture.

I had some issues answering the questions being to wifi (either theirs are mine) continued to cause a delay, this ireturn made me loose mt train of thought SEVERAL times- making my interview skills not nearly as polished as I know them to be. Which is unfortunate being I was (am) well qualafied for the position.
