I applied for a job in Washington, D.C. in the fall of 2020. Everything was remote because of COVID-19. It took about a month from applying to getting an offer. They contacted me about a week after I applied. I had actually applied for a different Associate job, but it was taken, so HR asked if I wanted to interview for this one instead. The first interview had me talking to HR first, then someone from the Strategic Communications Division. A few days later, I interviewed with two managing partners because the role would be supporting them. Then, I did a writing test, followed by a reference check. The process was really thorough, but everyone was super nice, professional, and helpful. The GPG team kept me in the loop, and I never waited more than a few days for scheduling or next steps.

I was initially connected with a managing director for a casual coffee chat. We discussed GPG's work and my interests, focusing on the bigger picture. Later, HR reached out to schedule a phone call. This hour-long conversation was mainly informational. HR inquired about my resume and financial background, and I asked about GPG. It felt a bit formal but wasn't overly challenging. About two weeks after, I met three senior associates at the office. We delved into my resume and aspirations at GPG. Although initially intimidating as a panel interview, they were all quite friendly. Following that, I had a brief meeting with the initial MD to discuss my potential role and the intern-employee relationship. After a month without a response, I followed up with the MD and HR manager, which led to a quick offer acceptance.
