Communications Intern
The interview process for the internship program was pretty straightforward. Everyone was very communicative and friendly, and the process moved along very quickly and smoothly. Questions asked were relatively simple.
- What makes you want this opportunity?
Frontend Developer
A recruiter reached out, and after clearing initial phone screenings, I had an in-person interview. There, I met with four team members to discuss the job, my background, the tech stack, and my interest in the company. Finally, I had a quick chat with the COO.
- Which Drupal Module do you like the most?
Program Coordinator
The interview process was pretty quick and simple. I got contacted for a phone interview the same day I sent in my resume and cover letter. The phone interview had basic questions and some specific ones for the job. That same day, they asked me to come to their NYC office for an in-person interview, which happened the next week. I met the whole department, and it felt more like a meet-and-greet than a formal interview. They did ask some 'tell me about a time when...' questions, but it wasn't too bad since it was a panel interview. I got the job offer a few days later. The whole thing took about 10 days.
- What's your ideal way of working, and how do you keep things organized?
- Have you worked with [a specific group of people] before?
- Tell me about a time you experienced something similar to [situation].
Administrative Assistant
I applied for a position and a department reached out to me for an interview. During the virtual interview, they unexpectedly asked me to turn my camera on, which wasn't communicated beforehand. The interview felt awkward and uncomfortable. The interviewer avoided eye contact while I was answering questions and seemed uninterested in my responses. They didn't ask questions relevant to the job. When I asked questions, they seemed annoyed and couldn't provide satisfactory answers, offering a brief apology. They also seemed eager to end the call during conversational pauses. I received a generic rejection email later.
- What makes you want to take on this position?
