Applied online and got an interview request the following week. First met with two core team members for typical interview questions about my background, experience, and how I learned about the Food Trust. Within two weeks, got a second interview request to meet the rest of the team. This interview focused more on team/cultural fit and gave me more time to ask questions. Haven't heard back in over four months. A friend who applied for a different role also experienced a significant delay in hearing back, with the position being filled three months later. If you're passionate about the role, apply, but be aware of the communication issues.

The interview process was pretty good. It started with a phone interview and then if they thought you were a good fit, you'd move on to an in-person interview with around 4 senior staff members. The only downside was they didn't let me know I wasn't being considered anymore. After getting a call back for a phone interview and then an in-person one, I was one of only 8 people they were looking at. I get not telling people they didn't make it early on, but when it's down to 8 people, you'd think an organization, especially one that cares about community and communication, would take the time to let you know. Even when I tried to reach out and check on the hiring process and if I was still in the running, they couldn't even remember to get back to me.

There was a phone call where they shared details about the company, the location of the project, and the initiative itself. They also asked some basic interview questions related to my background and why I was interested in the position. The interviewer was nice, but I became less interested in the role after learning the project was based in Reading, PA, as I had thought it would be in Philadelphia.

The interview process was really nice; everyone seemed genuinely invested in their work and in hiring the right people. They're looking for candidates who are interested in non-profit work and helping people, and they'll figure out if you're a good fit. It was a pleasant, low-stress experience.
