Front Desk
The interview process involved 3 rounds: a phone call, an in-person meeting, and a final virtual interview. It was pretty straightforward, though scheduling could sometimes lead to a week or two delay between interviews. They asked typical questions for a customer service role focused on working with people.
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
Coach
So, the first step was a chat over the phone with the supervisor for the edge kids coach position. After that, the second part was basically an audition where I had to go to the place and actually teach a class for some different age groups.
- Could you share your previous experience?
- What ages of children have you worked with?
- What about your schooling?
Kids Coach
I was sent out with the kids to organize them. It was basically a trial by fire, being thrown into the kids coach role for the interview. They are looking for coaches or PE teachers. This is a job for college students and it doesn't pay well. Most people don't stick around as an edge kids coach unless they get promoted or leave.
- Could you walk me through the process and explain the computer systems?
Membership Consultant
It was a group interview first, pretty casual. Then I had a one-on-one with the general manager for the location I was applying to, and after that, another one-on-one with the assistant manager. They called me with an offer that same afternoon.
- They asked some getting to know you questions to see how I interact with people.
- They were pretty laid back and focused on personality and relating to people. They didn't give many job details and acted clueless about salary, saying HR or marketing would handle those questions.
