First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Core Institute.
Medical Assistant
The interviewer didn't show up and didn't try to reschedule. I reached out multiple times with no response. The hiring manager had said they would hire me based on skills but didn't communicate.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Nurse
I met with the nurse manager at the surgery center and they did a background and license check. It was a pretty easy and fast process. They were professional and told me what the job involved, the hours, and who I'd be working with.
- Tell me about your prior experience working in a surgery center.
Medical Assistant
It started with a phone screen where they asked behavioral questions. Then I had a second interview with the clinical manager, and a third one with the director. They asked a lot about my past experiences. It was very engaging. You should prepare examples ahead of time.
- Can you share some of your past experiences?
- Could you provide an example of a time you dealt with a challenging patient?
- How do you manage stress when things get hectic?
Practice Manager
I met with the EVPM first. Had a great interview and was offered a second interview with the medical directors. This interview also went well. I reached out about a week later inquiring on the status of the interview process and was told via email they decided to go in a different direction. The position was reposted 1 month later. Based on the interview questions and statements, there is likely a turn-over issue with the position.
- What draws you to the Core Institute?
- Given that our benefits aren't the most competitive, would that impact your decision to join us?
- Describe a time you had to discipline an employee to the point of termination.
